Here are just a few of the common questions that have been asked of us so far...
Q. How is the gift box packaged, if I send it direct?
A. The gifts will be carefully positioned within the gift box with our environmentally friendly coloured wood wool. The gift box is placed within our custom sized postal boxes with suitable internal packaging to minimise damage in transit. Your gift message card will be attached to the gift box lid and the contents card will be inside the gift box.
Q. Why does it take up to 5 days to deliver the gift box?
A. Whilst we try to deliver our orders sooner than 5 days sometimes we have to wait for some of our products to arrive from our suppliers.
Q. Why is the delivery charge £9?
A. The gift box is a large box and sometimes the weight of the items can be non standard. The £9 is the cost we are charged by our couriers and we are constantly looking to negotiate this figure on behalf of our customers.
Q. Can I pick and chose a gift from one Gift Box to another?
A. Boxsharp takes the hassle away from you having to choose a selection of gifts from an extensive range of possible items. We do this to save you time and to provide the best mix of items for the price. If you think of a Boxsharp Gift Box as a Gift “Hamper” (but without the food and drink) then you will appreciate the gift box has to be a fixed selection.
Q. Can I buy a gift box for more than one person?
A. Yes, as long as you have the gift boxes delivered to one address (usually your own). We do not have the mechanism for selecting multiple delivery addresses on one order. If you wish to buy multiple gift boxes to go to different addresses you will need to place separate orders. We are working on changing this in the near future.
Q. Do you sell to businesses?
A. Whilst we do not have a dedicated corporate section our gift boxes can suit any recipient. Popular categories would include Christmas, Retirement and General, for a business looking to buy a gift box.
Q. When will the deliveries be made and who is your preferred courier?
A. Deliveries will be made between Mon-Fri anytime between 9:00am and 4:00pm. We currently use APC overnight as our preferred courier. We reserve the right to change our courier at anytime.
Q. What is the delivery process?
A. After you place your order and payment has been verified you will receive an email to say that the goods have been successfully paid for. Within the next 1-3 days you will receive a further email to say the gift box has been despatched to the delivery address. In this email you will have an APC tracking number and the APC website where you can track your gift box. It is sometimes the case that at the time of delivery there is no one in to receive your parcel. Through customer research APC believes that finding a ‘we called’ card causes a great deal of irritation and disappointment. Because of this their driver will attempt to deliver to a near neighbour. The driver obtains a signature from the neighbour, records the address and provides that information to the original delivery address on the calling card.
Q. Why is my delivery charge more than £9?
A. Delivery rates are subject to change due to a fuel surcharge. Any change in the fuel surcharge will be updated to the shopping cart included in the total standard delivery price.

- Scotland (Lowlands) add £4.12
- Scotland (Highlands) add £7.21
- Isle of Wight (PO30-PO41) add £5.15
- Northern Ireland (additional 2-3 days on top of standard delivery times) add £8.24
